Association of Communication and Marketing Agencies congratulates the winners and organisers of Effie Awards Europe! We are glad to be a part of it. Brussels, 2 December 2021: The winners of the 2021
Effie Awards Europe were announced yesterday, during the virtual Awards Gala. Five outstanding entries were awarded with the Gold Effie, and Havas Group scooped the Agency of the Year Award.
At this year's Effies, 35 trophies were awarded to 26 agencies from 17 countries across Europe. The winners were selected by an international jury of senior agency and client representatives co-chaired by Claire Miller, Global Head of Strategy at the LEGO Agency and Vincent Garel, Executive Vice President at TBWA\Groupe France.
Havas Group was awarded the Agency of the Year title, winning several Gold and Silver trophies for their outstanding 'Undercover Avatar' campaign for Association L'Enfant Bleu and 'Tomorrow's Water' for Reckitt-Finish.
Christian de la Villehuchet, Global Chief Integration Officer at Havas Group, said:
'We're extremely honoured to be awarded the Agency of the Year title at the Effie Europe. At Havas, we are committed to creating meaningful brands and in today's world, you simply cannot be effective without making a meaningful difference, without creating positive impact. We are super proud that our work consistently translates into game-changing business results for our clients and this award is the ultimate demonstration of that.' This year, the Effie Europe jury has decided to not award the Grand Effie prize. Sven Huberts, Global Head of Design & Innovation at Dentsu International and Isobar's Global Managing Partner, who moderated the Grand Jury session said:
"Over the years, the Grand Effie Awards has served as a powerful beacon for the industry's ability to drive and demonstrate commercial effectiveness. Key to that is the ability to demonstrate an indelible and undeniable link between the challenge, objectives, the strategy and KPIs, the creative work and the results it created. This year, although the work was undoubtedly strong, the jury was of the unanimous view that although there were many compelling aspects to the individual cases, there were missing pieces in the writing of each of the entries which prevented us from awarding this year's Grand Effie. The Grand Effie is the ultimate recognition of creativity & effectiveness, so the bar is extremely high to win. In these most challenging –some might say unprecedented– years, it is doubly difficult. Effectiveness is always a work in progress, so all winners should be hugely proud of their success this year and look forward to coming back even stronger in 2022." Check out the list of winners. The Effie Awards Europe are organised by the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) in partnership with Procter & Gamble, The European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA), The European Publishers' Council, Adforum.com & Viva Xpress Logistics.
